Analytics and cookies

The website uses a first-party preference cookie named mdv_analytics to remember whether you allowed optional analytics. Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity are loaded only after you choose to allow analytics. If you choose essential-only mode, these analytics scripts are not loaded by this website.

Contact and feedback forms

If you send a contact or feedback form, we process the information you enter, such as your email address and message. The form also includes the request IP address in the email sent to the site operator for basic abuse and security diagnostics. An email address is optional on the feedback form and required on the contact form.

Server logs

The hosting infrastructure may record technical request data such as IP address, date, requested URL, browser information and error details for security, troubleshooting and service operation.

External services

When optional analytics is enabled, usage data may be processed by Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity according to the terms and privacy policies of those providers. Links to external websites are governed by the privacy policies of those websites.

Accounts

This code-based website does not currently provide account registration or account management. Those functions are planned as a separate MyDeskViewer service and are not covered by this website implementation yet.

Your choices and questions

You can choose essential-only mode in the analytics prompt. To change the saved choice, remove the mdv_analytics cookie and reload the website. For privacy questions or requests concerning information sent through the website, contact office@mydeskviewer.com.
