After a busy September, we used the start of October to consolidate changes that make MyDeskViewer easier to manage. A useful remote desktop app is more than the connection itself: the device list, access permissions and settings are part of every working day.

Access-password management on Windows became clearer. From a computer’s Access or Settings view, users can inspect, change or regenerate its access password. We also worked on optional password-free requests: where that mode is enabled, access without a password still requires local Allow or Cancel approval. These choices are designed to make the current protection level visible instead of hiding it behind an obscure setting.

Account-related work included Microsoft sign-in as an additional option alongside existing methods. The Windows app also gained Light, Dark and Automatic appearance choices, with improvements across dialogs, lists, account screens and session controls.

We continued refining the macOS client’s Peers, Favorites and Settings areas, including saved-computer management. On Windows, work on the local privacy Cover and session cleanup focused on making remote work less disruptive. Platform-specific capabilities still differ, and we describe them as they become available for testing.

The direction is deliberately practical: fewer repeated steps, clearer permission decisions and a familiar interface when moving between supported systems.
